Law School Rankings
The ranking of law schools by magazines, newspapers and other
panels of experts is a highly subjective enterprise that should
lead all who read them to minimize their importance. In
particular, applicants should understand that small differences
in ratings for example between 20 and 29 are much less relevant
(possibly irrelevant) than the difference between 20 and 50.Also,
keep in mind that the rankings often differ in their criteria
used to judge the schools and few put much weight on the
experience of students at those schools. For instance, a recent
study found Harvard Law students among the least
satisfied-despite their high rating.
