When reading the Odyssey there are quite a few issues that are left to be decided by the reader depending on each person’s perception of the poem.  We will try to offer a view and interpretation for five of these issues based on specific arguments that we feel strongly about.  These five issues are:

immortality
the ideal woman in the ancient Greek world
the transition in the Greek society as seen in the Odyssey
the importance of Ithaca and what it symbolizes
analysis of whether Odysseus is the ideal Greek hero
